When Meagan Moore was 2 months old she had emergency surgery to remove a large mass of blood clots from her brain. Now, nearly 8 years later, resultant complications cause Meagan to have between 30 - 150 seizures a day ... compounded by side effects from medications she is required to take.

If Meagan could undergo a delicate surgical procedure, neurosurgeons anticipate a 50% chance of improving Meagan's quality of life. Preparation requires a $20,000 test to determine precise locations in her brain that control her speech, vital motor skills and memory.

This test is being denied by her insurance.

Performing this operation blindly could jeopardize these vital life functions, furthermore, surgeons refuse to operate without this critical information.

Currently Meagan is strapped into a wheelchair at school. She is losing her hair. We would like to offer Meagan a brighter hope and quality of life by completing these preliminary tests and/or taking her to Johns Hopkins for a second opinion.

In Meagan's brief 8 years she has given so much to us ...we want to do all we can to help her live her dreams.
